GENIUS HOUR PROJECT

SHARING GENIUS HOUR PROJECTS:
Expanding and improving upon the drop-off/pick-up & parking area zone

Hi, Emily and Maya here, and our Genius hour project is about improving the school’s drop-off/pick-up area along with adding more parking space. The reason for this project is that in the mornings and afterschool, there is a least a 10 minute wait in front of the school to be dropped off or picked up (for the students) by the parents waiting in a line –up in their cars. There is also very little parking space, and this is due to the fact that our school is made for about 1000 students, and currently, we have 1500 students, increasing the school’s desired population by a quarter the amount, and decreasing the amount of space for cars and pedestrians (children) to be able to arrive at school.
Our intentions are to expand the front lanes at the front entrance of the drop-off area, and to add another section for parking, so that the drop-off/pick up area will be more organized, as well as allowing students to arrive to school on time.

This project appealed to us from our own experience of being late or at risk of being late to class, as well as our peers. This is a problem throughout all the grades in our school that cannot be tolerated anymore. Teachers have gone so far as to no longer blame the traffic for the students’ lateness, but have taken to saying that the traffic in front of the school is inevitable, and should always be taken into consideration when coming to school. Do you also have problems with your school’s drop-off area, for example, no parking for cars or traffic in the mornings or afterschool?

For presenting our project we are going have a presentation on imovie  (a program similar to powerpoint for making slideshows but it revolves more around video and audio) as well as a small speech that we will give during the video to stress out our points and explain information during the slideshow. For the imovie presentation we have interviewed parents, teachers, and students and asked them a few questions on their opinion of the school’s current drop off/pick up area and parking situation. We have gathered information from the students, but not yet from the teachers and parents. However, we already have the imovie and speeches all planned out, and we still would like to add in a map of our to-be-improved school drop off/pick up area as well as where we would have added in additional parking space.
So, in short, we currently have all of our information and planning finished, now we must finalize our good copies that we will present.

Genius hour in general is a free-reigned project that students can come up with independently. It can be about anything that they have an interest in or about something they would like to find out whether the teacher will give them an option, a theme, a smaller topic that they can choose an idea from, or they can brainstorm the idea on their own. This project allows students that want to learn about something (topic)  that they have an interest in so they can learn about it through the process of completing the project.

After reading our intentions/motives/progress, is there anything that you’d like to comment about our presentation? Perhaps, things we should add in to improve and to pinpoint the details in our project all the more? Any feedback? Please let us know! :)
    Thank you!
Sincerely,
Emily & Maya

My Genius Hour Project

The Truth about Chemotherapy

What is our project about?
Our project is about understanding chemotherapy, and figuring out how it works. As well as the process, how it benefits cancer, the side effects, what is cancer. We are hoping that our project will inform people about chemotherapy and how it works.

Why did it appeal to us?
This topic appealed to us because it fit with our criteria well. We had some trouble finding a topic that we both liked and that we meet the criteria. This topic was also interesting and a lot of people in our class were wondering about the same topic. However nobody else chose this topic.

Where are we right now?
Right now we are working on the PowerPoint that will explain chemotherapy. We are also about a couple days away for presenting to the class. But first we need to do peer feedback, and practice presenting it.

Feedback?
*Do you think our questions are explaining the topic well?
*Do you think our information is related to the topic/headings?
*Is presenting our information on a PowerPoint a good way to share our project?
*Is our information well organized, is it easy to understand?

Genius Hour Project Sharing

For my Genius Hour Project, I am working by myself because I wasn't here the day we got into groups and started planning them. However, I would like to have some feedback so that I can improve my project before presenting it, so if you want you can answer the questions below.

What my project is about
My project is about finding new solutions to reduce unemployment rates while damaging the environment less. Today, unemployment has become a problem in many places, so people have been fixing it by building more factories and producing more jobs. However, most jobs have big impacts on the environment, like global warming and pollution. Even though people are already helping the environment, the world is developing at a rate too fast for us to handle. In order to narrow my topic and focus on a specific scenario, I am doing this project for Surrey, which is the city I currently live in.

Why it appealed to me
I chose this topic because I want to see the relationship between jobs and the environment in more detail (looking at employment from a more scientific view). The problems include air pollution from factories/vehicles, not taking care of ecosystems, and using natural resources. These will never be completely solved, but if left untouched they could become dangerous to all of us.

What contents and skills are in it
This project relates directly to both human ingenuity and environment. One interesting thing about this topic is to find/describe the connections between economics and science in the problem, because people often treat the two separately. An important skill learned in this project would be to apply my research into practical use, or using it to improve ideas. I am also making a slideshow for the project, so that could be another skill.

Progress Report
Currently I am finishing up my research and putting it into my own words. I am still finding out more about Surrey, but my general information is mostly done. Soon, I will be thinking of solutions to specific environmental problems. I plan to be presenting my project (including the slideshow) within the next 2 weeks.

Feedback
At this rate, do you think I can finish the project by early December?
Is there a focus/point on Surrey?
Is the information organized?
Could there be solutions to the problems that are reasonable (cost, technology required) today?
How could the project be appealing to both adults and teenagers?

Genius Hour

The Three Food Critics
Our genius hour is about being good food critics. First we researched what a good food critic does when they go to a restaurant. We gathered our findings and came up with a survey that we could fill out while we were in the restaurant. After we have filled out our survey we will and  write
a review of the restaurant and post it on our blog.

We decided to do this because we love food and we also love criticizing food but we are not very experienced and have never done it, that is why we wanted to learn about how we could become good critics, our intentions are to go to as many restaurants as we could without going broke and write a review and as we would rate more restaurants, we would become better and better food critics!

Richard went to Mommy Son, Andrew went to DDDn and Nick went to Subway! We each wrote reviews about our experiences and posted them on our blog!
We each rated our restaurant out of 5 according to our personal surveys that we filled out and used to rate and describe why we rated it this way!

We have created our own food blog called RanFood. This is where we will be posting our reviews about the restaurants we went to.

We were wondering if you could give us some constructive feedback. Here area few questions we were hoping you could answer.

 1. What do you think we should be rating our food on?
 2. Do you think we should use a blog to write our reviews or use another tool to write our reviews?

Learning Log

Summary

Today during class we picked ourselves our own partner and pulled out our notes from chapter 1 in the Pathways textbook that we wrote down a few weeks back. Ms. Lees handed out an assessment  sheet for us took look over all out notes with and mark them based on the assessment sheet, you and your partner both marked one of the two of yours and your partners notes at a time. After we finished with the assessment sheet we wrote a reflection about the notes we took on chapter 1 in the Pathways textbook. The questions for our reflection were 1. What did you do well? Give examples and 2. What could you improve on? Give examples. That’s a summary of today’s class.

Learning Intentions

Our learning intentions in class today were to learn how to have good note taking skills. We went into partners so you can get someone else’s opinion on your work because of course you think your own work is perfect like mine. We also learned maybe some new strategy’s from the way your partner is taking notes. I think the most important thing we learned today was how to improve our note taking skills for next time and to learn what makes excellent notes and okay notes.

Connections

Learning how to create good notes could help you in many ways. For example, if you have a test coming up and you need to study for it you could take notes to use for studying. Or, if your teacher asks you to take notes for a project you will need to know how to take good notes. There are so many different things you could use notes for! Note taking is a great skill to have.

Homework

We had no homework assigned today either than finish your reflection about your notes from chapter 1. Some old homework is to keep track of your genius hour timeline because we are running out of time and to finish reading your novel by tomorrow.

Tips

To help you with your homework just remember when you’re marking your notes to mark them with your partner on one paper at the same time. Also, don’t be doing all of your genius hour project at school do some work at home!

Today in Class We...

What We Did Today

At the beginning of class, we looked at the Morris Wars Blog. We saw the newspaper that was finally published and information on their “passion project”. Then we wrote down criteria on how we should share our genius hour projects to the Australians. After we went to the computer lab to start writing information on our genius hour sitting with our partner(s).

Why We Did It

I thought that we’re sharing our genius hour projects because this will help us get a different opinion on our projects. It’s important to get a variety of feedback on our projects. Another reason is because the Australians shared their projects with us.

Reflections

This skill may help us in the future by knowing how to ask for specific feedback, as well as how to explain in detail what you’re doing. If you were to ask someone to provide feedback for an assignment, they wouldn’t know what to help you with specifically. Or if you had to explain an assignment/project to someone, it would become confusing to the person if it was not explain thoroughly. It is important to add as much detail as possible when it comes to explaining something to someone, especial if there far away and can’t see your work in person.

Homework

We weren’t assigned any homework because Ms.Lees wants us to work on our genius hour projects as much as possible. We will be given time to work on the on Wednesday and Friday of this week.

Also our novels are to be done by this Wednesday, so start reading.

Homework Tips

Don’t forget to log your process for your genius hour projects; it will count as a portion of your mark. It is important to include challenges and how they were solved in your logs, also to show how much work you’ve done in one block.

As far as I know we will be doing an activity based on our novels, so don’t just skip through the whole thing and say you’re finished.

What We Did in Class!

What We Did
Today in class we went over the ratings that we gave the Graphic organizers that were from grade 8 students to university students!
We rated the posters from a C+ to an A+ the day before and today we decided if they were rated appropriately or if they would need to be revised!
There were about 20 graphic organizers that we rated that were from all kinds of different subjects so it didn't make it easy!

Why We Did This
We did this because it is important to know how to use graphic organizers efficiently and graphic organizers also help you study for a test or understand what you are doing!
I also think that graphic organizers can help in the future for some jobs that involve blue prints or plans!

HomeWork
The homework is that you have to finish your novel by wednesday!

Leraning Log

                                                       What we Did

Today in class all we did was talk for about 5-10 minutes at the beginning of class about reading your novel and responding to The Morris Ward Minute. Then we split it to groups that Ms. Lees randomly chose for us. While in our groups Ms. Lees gave us all samples of note taking webs from a university. With the webs we looked over them and gave them and overall letter grade. On another separate piece of paper we wrote pro's and con's about the webs we got. After everyone was finished we put our webs up in front of the room with their letter grade and pro's and con's and had other students come up and put a red sticky note on your web if they think you gave this web the wrong grade or they put a green sticky note on the web if you think they gave the web the correct grade. For the last 10 minutes of class we read our novels while others put sticky notes on the webs we graded

                                                    Why We Did This

We did this in class today to learn about what makes a good web so when we create our own webs we know what we should do if we want a good letter grade. Ms. Lees split us up into random groups so we can learn to work with others and agree and disagree with one another. I think that this showed us what a great web makes and what an okay web makes.

                                                         Connections

I think that we could use this as many tools in the real world. For example, we could use webs to create notes. I know that in some classes they assign homework were you need to create a web, such as Science. If you want to get good grades on those types of projects you need to know how to create a good web. Even in university you need to create many webs.

                                                          Homework

We had no homework assigned for today. But, we still have old homework to finish. Such as, FINISH READING YOUR NOVEL, comment on two of the blog posts of others in your group and tell them how you think they are doing so far, REPLY TO THE MORRIS WARD MINUTE and get feedback from your peers on your genius hour project. We will be presenting our progress so far to class most likely tomorrow.

                                                               Tips

While you are writing webs make sure the printing is neat and large anuf to read and make it stand out so people want to read it! And make sure you are getting feedback from your peers about your genius hour project!

LEARNING BLOG POST :) :

1.What we did today: Today in class we started off with a new topic ( that we will continue tomorrow ) we were learning what Graphic Organisers were. However about 2 minutes into it Mrs.Lees asked us to indicate whether or not the subtitle she had written was a sentence, and if not, how to make it one. After asking about 4 different people Ms.Lees still hadn't gotten the correct answer so, then to teach us how to be able to solve problems like this one in other situations, (ex. creating our own subtitles....) she started showing us what a proper sentence is step-by-step.  On a new piece of paper we divided the sheet into sections with each word that can go into a sentence as a heading. For example: ADJECTIVE: a word to describe/modify a noun. We did the same thing for all the other words ( pro-noun, noun, ad verb, verb, adjective ) but with more examples under it.  Ms.Lees also explained to us how the placement of a word in a sentance can effect what it defines or how it is reflected. For example: Phill's boss was late so he had to run the meeting. You have a run in your tights. Did you run all the way here from home? It's the same word (run) but it's representing different  meanings/ways because of the context that has changed each time. Then at the very  end of the leason Ms.Lees showed us a video of an educational song from a company known as "School House Rock". In the song it was explained how all the different terms are used and how to iddentify them so you can use them correctly. It was mostly about adverbs though. To watch the video that we had on ealier in class click >HERE<.

2.LEARNING INTENTIONS: We started off learning about graphic connections at the bigginning today to be able to properly apply a visual/audio/video/chart/graph/key/
photo and any other graphics to a text smoothly. Very soon though left that for the day and we started on how to create a proper sentance because it was clear the entire class needed either a full lesson or at least a reminder on them. We learned what pro-nouns, nouns, ad verbs, verbs and  adjectives so we could better understand them when reading through something and so that we could define the meaning of a sentance better. Also so when working on a writting doccument or anything with text we could be able to properly apply all of those terms without errors. I for one didn't know the exact meaning and use of a majority of the words today and it will defenetly help me allot in the future. Another reason for learning all of the terms is so that if it's ever asked of us to write a paragraph using any of these specific ones we can do so correctly and without much hesitation. This lesson helped us understand the placement of words and how much the placement can affect the entire sentance, how it can completly change the meaning.

3.CONECTIONS: These skills will be very helpfull in other classes and aspects in life. In most classes we are always writting, whether it's sentances or notes or paragraphs, and this will help us form them correctly and quickly. I would like to be an author or poet when I grow up and untill today I didn't know the full meaning of a majority of these common words that we use daily. It will help us more fully understand what we are writing on paper and not just skimming down without consideration were words are placed. This made us aware of the impact that the terms have in our work and thanks to that we can now apply them to work we do in this class and others so the writting we have is better, more imformed and descriptive.

4.HOMEWORK: Make sure to respond to our friends in Australia and answer all of their questions with detail and examples. Finish reading your books, ( the ones Ms.Lees handed out about the middle ages ) remember everyone should be done their books by THIS friday. If you haven't already, go onto Ms.Lees blog for her H.A.C.E challenge and remember the actual H.A.C.A is due soon. Work on the genious hour projects, be wary of you timeline we have to get the peer review feedback before presenting them. On friday bring in your H.A.C.E assignment. There was no homework from the actual lesson today.

5.HOMEWORK TIPS: Don't leave your book till the last minitue! Try reading a bit of your novels everyday so that your not rushing to read it on the last day. If anyone wants to you can review your notes from class today to be more familiar with the topic. Remember:
*****Where you place a word can change it's definition!******
~The dog ran after his owner.
~Pete ran the meeting since Jill was sick.

Today's Learning Blog Post

What we did today
Today we worked on our Genius Hour projects. We were only supposed to do it for one block, but because we were focused on the projects, Ms. Lees let us work on them for the next block, too.
Learning Intentions
We worked on our Genius Hour projects because we didn't do them last week (short week), and so that we can learn about whatever we want. These projects help us in our independent/group planning, teamwork/collaboration (if in a group), and presentation skills. Because they are 'passion projects', our learning experienced can be enhanced by what we are learning.
Reflections/Relevance
Our Genius Hour projects connect to the world in many different ways. If we're learning a skill or doing research on something, we could use what we found out in the future, whether it's at school, at home, or at work. Also, the collaboration and communication skills will be useful in the same way. As our studies go on, we will probably encounter hands-on or independent learning a lot more, so these projects would be a great start for that.
Homework Reminders
Because of our projects, there was no homework assigned to us except reading the novel, which should be done in 1-2 weeks. Remember that you have to present two Genius Hour Projects this semester, and Ms. Lees will not be here the week before Christmas Break. To work around that, you could start your second project and present your first one after the break.
Homework Tips
You should get feedback from 3-5 peers before your project presentation, and you must ask them whether they think you've achieved your goals or will achieve them (time , etc.). Try to make your project interesting and appealing to people your age.

Genius Hour Project

Hello,
Richard, Andrew and I all have made a blog for our genius hour project. We are trying to learn how to be good food critics. Please visit our blog and rate it one the side bar. Here is a link to our blog Food Critic Blog. And here is a link to our Research. Also, please comment below on what you think we can do to make our project better!

Today in Class We....

Summary

Today in class we mainly worked on blog expectations. At the beginning, we talked about what made a good post, and how to improve our own posts. After we were to partner up with someone from our blog group and go down to the computer lab. Then we went to Ms.Lees blog a pick out a group blog from last years and look at their posts from January and February. We got three sheets from Ms.Lees (one for you, one for your partner, and one to write on) that had numbers 1-5 on it which was to mark a post. After looking at last year posts, we wrote on one of the three sheets we got and described what made a post a 1 2 3 4 5. Then to think about what level your posts are at, and hand it in to Ms.Lees.

Intentions

I thought that the main idea for this was to know what to put in a post. I thought this was important because, if someone wasn’t posting a very informative post, they wouldn’t know how to fix it. This was all about improving our post and how to identify what makes a good post and what makes a bad post.

Reflections

This may help us in the future because if we were to help someone post a good comment, we would know how to do it by knowing what to include and how to make it better. This would be a useful skill because it if you were to post something in the future, it would be a good informative post.

Homework

We don’t have any homework because Ms.Lees wants use to work on our genius hour projects. It would also be a good idea to finish your notes soon.

Tips

For the genius hour projects, we have to hand in a log that explains what we did each day. We will be marked on it so don’t forget to do that while we get the time to work on it. I also think we will be given time to work on our projects this week because we didn’t work on them last week, so come prepared.

For the notes, Ms.Lees didn’t give a specific due date but it would be a good idea to get them done. If you’re having trouble, she says to come in on flex for help.

Another Lovely day in Humanities.....

Today in humanities we had a subsitute and before we did any work, he told us alot of stuff about himself, and also stuff about a book he likes and where hes from and how he knows mrs.lees for a long time but when we got down to work we took MORE notes about the middle ages, and about the wars of those times and bad things and good things that happened, so far weve been taking a TON of notes but I think It will benefit us in the future or even soon because in school we will have to teke notes for tests or quizes or just for knowledge itself and we will need it when we get a job and our boss tells us to remember something or well have to write down notes if we are interviewing somebody, or if we were to be food critics and stuff like that. I think this is teaching us note taking and writing and ways to shorten sentances and to write stuff down in our own words. There is no homework for the long weekend unless today is your day to post on your blog.

What We Did in Class Today

Summary

At the start of class, all we did was read our novels for about 20 min. After, we logged onto our FH learn blogs to turn them into e-portfolios by creating a new page for humanities. Then we made menus for the new page on humanities.

Learning Intentions

Today we learned how to create a new page on our blog, and also to attach menus to them. I think the purpose of this was to know where to keep all of our assignment that will be put on our e-portfolios. And to know how to organised it in a way that is easy to find what you posted.

Connections

This will help us in the future by knowing how to set up a new page and menus on word press. Now days it is easier to keep all of your work on an e-portfolio, they’re more organised and colleges regimented it.

Homework

Our homework is to make a new page and menus on our FH learn blogs. The page should be named Humanities and the menus should be called Communication, Digital Literacy or ICT, Creativity and innovation, and Collaboration. If you forget how to create a new page or menus, the go to Ms.Lees blog (leeshum8.blogspot.ca) and there will be videos that explains the whole thing. However if your still confused then just wait until tomorrow to get help from Ms.Lees or someone else in the class. This is due by the end of the week.

It would also be a good idea to work on your genius hour projects, we all made deadlines to complete them by.

Don’t forget to finish your notes. If you haven’t completed the, then you could sign-out a pathways book from Ms.Lees or go to flex. Outline pg.9-10, Web pg.21-30, Cornell pg.31-35

Tips

Remember for your notes not to copy what they say in the textbook, and to keep the notes brief. If you’re really behind, then it would be smart to take out pathways textbook so you don’t have to attend flex every lunch.

For genius hour, remember to follow the criteria very carefully so you don’t mess up your project also to share the work with your partner.

Learning Log

1.       Today in class we had a substitute. We were going to watch a half hour filn and take notes but we couldn’t find the DvD. So instead we ready from page 38- 42. On pages 38-42 there was a story on the Middle Ages. We had to take notes on things we learned from the pictures of the story about The Middle Ages. We did the notes in the Cornell form. Then after we did a summary of the main things we learned about The Middle Ages in a paragraph. Then if you wanted you could do question 1-2 on page 42.

2.       We did this in class to practice our note taking skills. We also learned how to get assumptions from pictures and headings of a story.

3.     These skills could help you in every subject you are in. For example for math or science when you have a test coming up and you need to study, you will have notes. Or if you are in P.E. and you want to go home and do some exercise that you learned in class, but you can’t remember what it is, you can write it down. Or if you need to remember an appointment or anything in that matter, you can just write it down.  And sometimes you won’t always have writing to give you support of something, you will need to look at pi0ctures a titles.

4.       There was no homework today, But, you still finish the note making which was pages 9-20 with normal bullet notes, page 21-30 which was webbed notes and page 31 which was the new Cornell style. You can also check your timelines and make surveys for you genius hour project.

5.       A tip to help you with your homework is to set goals for you genius hour project and ask your peers for their opinions. Also, when you are taking notes remember it’s just a brief easy note of what the textbook says. Not word for word or a whole sentence long. Also, when you write out your summary for the story on page 38-42 remember to give lots of details.

Learning Blog Post

1. What we did today
Today, for the first half of the block, we got into our novel groups and started brainstorming what we hope to learn from our novels. This specifically refered to what we would learn from Medieval fiction, not what we would learn from this specific novel. After that, we started getting ready for report cards. In our blog groups, we started filling out a form which reviewed our posts and comments.

2. Learning Intentions
We started brainstorming our learning intentions for Medieval fiction so that when we finish the novel we can try to answer our own questions that we wrote down today, and to know why we are reading these novels as we read them. Also, we reviewed our blog posts so that we could get organized (make sure everyone is posting equally) and improve in the future.

3. Reflections/Relevance
Both of the things we did today are useful in many subjects in school and things in life. In the future, before reading a novel or socials/science textbook we can think of what we hope to learn from it, and we could try answering those questions at the end. When working in groups, it is important to reflect on what everyone has done and try to make everything fair for everyone.

4. Homework Reminders
There is no homework due tomorrow, but if you are not done your Pathways notes you should come in to Flex tomorrow.

5. Homework Tips
Make sure that the notes are written in brief phrases, not in full sentences or word for word. Also, work on your Genius Hour projects at home (there is no time this week) and try to meet your goals.

Learning Log

1.     Today in class we first checked if we have gotten responses from our responses to the Morris Ward News Blog (which we haven’t yet). And if you still haven’t posted your response to the Morris Ward you were supposed to have by now. Remember if you want you can check the Morris Ward to see if they have responded to you yet, their responses should be commented on our comments. Then we learned about a new way to take notes. This new way is called Cornell note taking. Cornell note taking is when you create a t-chart, and one side is slimmer than the other. On one side of the t-chart the title is main ideas and the title of the other side of the t-chart is Details. Then you write down your main ideas on one side and briefly describe it on the other. After we learned about a new not taking method we finished the note taking practice we did on Wednesday from the Pathways textbooks. If you haven’t finished you have to go to flextime to finish it. At the very end of class Ms.Lees gave us our novel that we are gonna be reading. If you don't know whta I mean by novel I mean the assesment we did in class the other day were we rated different books and told Ms.Lees our favourites on paper.

2.     We did these activities today to learn new ways to take notes and find a way that we feel most comfortable and understand the most when taking notes. We need to find a good way to take notes for studying for test or just our general work. My favorite note taking strategy is the normal bullet note taking.

4.     Today’s homework was just to remember to check and make sure everyone is posting on your blog and to check your timeline of your genius hour. And if you still haven’t finished notes from the Pathways, you have to go to flextime. The notes were supposed to be taken on pages 9-20 with normal bullet notes, page 21-30 which was webbed notes and page 31 which was the new Cornell style.

5.     A tip to help you with your homework is to set goals for you genius hour project and ask your peers for their opinions. Also, when you are taking notes remember it’s just a brief easy note of what the textbook says. Not word for word or a whole sentence long.

What we did:
Today for 1st block we worked on our Genius Hour projects. Most of us were still on the research phase of the project, so we used electronic devices to do the research. Also, people finished their book passes or posted on the Woodleighville blog if they hadn't already. In the 2nd block, we continued working on the note-taking/making booklet and practice with the Pathways textbook from last class.

Learning Intentions:
Genius Hour helps us learn what we're interested in and therefore have a better learning experience, but also teaches us collaboration and presentation skills. Note-taking lets us know how to organize the information that we learn in class, and to make it easier to read and study for tests. Both of these things are important for the future. When we do projects in other classes we will know how to do them well by collecting feedback from other people and that we have flexibility in what we want to do. Taking notes will be useful in most subjects, as it helps make the information easier to read and remember in a way that seems best for you.

Connections:
I've done both projects and notes before, but when it comes to high school you have more options on how you want to do them and possibilities of what you do. This will be useful in my future study years and maybe my life because they will just become even more flexible over time and I can use them for many things, such as studies or work.

Homework Reminders:
There was no homework assigned to us for Friday, but you should continue working on your Genius Hour projects at home.

Homework Tips:
Always remember to log your process when you are doing your Genius Hour projects to keep track of what you have done, and record any sites you get information from. Also, try to meet your standards/goals for your project, such as due dates, and ask other people for feedback.
